A large online gifting site facilitating customers with buying & selling of gift certificates for important occasions and festivals.

Problem:

The company owing the site had a repository of information on suggestions for gifts that can be given on different occasions and/or festivals. This information was categorized on occasions, festivals, budgets, age-group and other criteria. This voluminous content had to be managed and made-available to its customers so that they are able to make use of the same in order to select the right gift for an occasion.

Solution:

CNPL developed a simple yet user-friendly Content Management Solution that enabled the administrator to create different menu categories and sub-categories which made it simple for admin user to organize the contents. The CMS solution also provided administrator to add images, links, customise fonts, apply style-sheet and search keywords for every content page. This feature enhanced the site dynamism as well as made it attractive for customers. The CMS also provided administrator the ability to selectively publish contents in the site thus making it possible for editors to add contents in advance and then select the one to be published.

Platform:

The application was built on Windows platform with IIS as the web server, C# as the middle-tier application language and MSSQL as the backend database.
